Sina Niklas

vocalist, lyricist

In 1999 Sina founded her first band DEAD ALIVE (“Gossip”, 2002). She has been a
member of ORPHAN HATE since 2004, writing all lyrics (“Blinded by illusions, 2008 /
“Attitude & Consequences”, 2012) and supporting the songwriting process.
When playing live Sina uses a Shure SM58 microphone. When recording in the studio
she uses a Neumann respectively her favorite RE20.

Besides being a member of ORPHAN HATE she also writes lyrics for other artists and
performs as a guest singer on different albums, such as JOVIAN SPIN’s “Shapes of
Perception” (2011) or TANGENT PLANE’s “Project Elimi” (2011).

With the help of LENARD STREICHER (Rock Pop School) Sina worked on developing
additional vocal approaches to shouting and growling.
She finds musical inspiration in the work of befriended musicians, since working
together means being challenged and inspired at the same. Greats like MYLES
KENNEDY (THE MAYFIELD FOUR, ALTER BRIDGE) and ROB THOMAS are also some of
her musical favorites.
